‘If certain clubs come in, he could leave’ – Mino Raiola tells talkSPORT Romelu Lukaku could depart Everton this summer

Romelu Lukaku’s agent Mino Raiola says Everton have promised the striker he can leave this summer if certain clubs come in for him – but insists a transfer is not close.

Speaking exclusively to Jim White on talkSPORT, Raiola also confirmed that if the price was right for the Toffees then the Belgian would be on the move.

The 24-year-old came second in the race for the Premier League golden boot this summer, scoring 25 goals, and is wanted property ahead of the transfer window opening.

“Lukaku had a promise that if certain clubs came this summer that he could leave this summer,” said Raiola.

“We are not in concrete talks with anybody at this moment, but hearing the market I think some clubs will contact Everton.

“If the price is right for Everton and the project is right for Lukaku then I think he will want to make another step, but we are not there yet.”

Lukaku had looked set to sign a new contract earlier this season, with Raiola claiming it was 99.9% done.

However, a few days later Lukaku rejected a new deal and Raiola commented on the situation.

“You know we have the 0.1% now,” Raiola added.

“At that moment we decided not to sign the contract but I have to say the relationship with the club is very good and we knew if someone would come and satisfy Everton then there is a possibility that he leaves.”
