Juventus join Premier League trio in the race for Monaco star Benjamin Mendy

29 May

Premier League clubs will face stiff competition from Italian champions Juventus in their pursuit of highly-rated Monaco star Benjamin Mendy.

Both Manchester City and Manchester United have made contact with the French champions in recent weeks to try to lure the 22-year-old to the Premier League this summer, and Liverpool are also keen to recruit him.

However, according to Tuttosport, Juventus are now considering a move for the defender, who can operate anywhere across the back four.

Manchester City were thought to be in pole position to land Mendy, having already negotiated a successful deal for another Monaco star, Bernardo Silva, earlier this month.

And although Monaco are reluctant to part with another of their prized assets, the in-demand defender will not be short of options this summer.

Juve’s latest proposal is sure to test Monaco’s resolve, but the trio of English clubs will not give up on the chase.
