The Sunday Times understands Neymar’s dad has asked PSG to delay formal negotiations with Barcelona about a deal for his son until after 31 July because that is when he will earn a £23.3m commission for his role in persuading the player to sign a new contract at the Camp Nou last October. (Sunday Times – subscription required)

Barcelona will report PSG for a breach of financial fair play rules if the French side meet Neymar’s €220m (£197m) buyout clause. (ESPN)

If Neymar does leave Barcelona, the club may target Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann(Marca)
